1. Who we are

HugBay (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the online store at hugbay.shop. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you browse or buy from us, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

If you have any question about this policy, contact us through the details at the end of this page.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, and shipping address when you place an order or contact support.

Payment information: card and UPI details are entered directly into Razorpay's secure checkout. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, or UPI PIN. We only receive a payment reference, the amount, and whether the payment succeeded.

Information collected automatically: pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address. This is used to keep the site working and secure.

Cart data: items you add are stored in your own browser so your basket survives a refresh. This stays on your device until you clear it.

3. How we use your information

To process your order, take payment, and arrange delivery.

To send order confirmations and delivery updates.

To answer your questions and handle returns or refunds.

To detect and prevent fraud, and to meet our legal and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

4. Who we share it with

Razorpay processes payments on our behalf and handles your payment details under its own privacy policy.

CJ Dropshipping fulfils and ships orders, so your name, address, and phone number are passed to them and to the delivery carrier in order to deliver your parcel.

Our hosting and infrastructure providers store the site and its data on our behalf.

We may disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights.

5. How long we keep it

Order and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically several years. Support messages are kept while they are relevant. You can ask us to delete anything we are not legally required to retain.

6. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, or ask us to delete it.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email; this does not stop transactional messages about an order you have placed.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time.

7. Cookies and local storage

We use only what the store needs to function: your cart, your session, and basic security. We do not run third-party advertising trackers. Blocking storage in your browser may stop the cart or checkout from working.

8. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and payments are encrypted and handled by Razorpay. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.

9. Children

HugBay is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the store changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
